About the position
The Environmental Specialist at SLB is responsible for enhancing environmental performance and managing environmental programs at the location. This role involves supporting local management, conducting environmental data analysis, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. The position progresses from a trainee to a senior professional, with increasing responsibilities in managing environmental programs, training personnel, and liaising with contractors and agencies.
Responsibilities
- Support local management in establishing and improving environmental performance and programs.
- Perform location environmental data analysis and monitor compliance with policies and standards.
- Manage environmental programs, including planning and coaching employees and junior HSE staff.
- Assist line management in understanding and implementing the HSE Management System.
- Liaise with local contractors and agencies regarding environmental programs.
- Assess local environmental risks and develop risk controls.
- Generate local environmental procedures, work instructions, and checklists as required.
- Prepare and monitor plans for implementing environmental aspects of the HSE Management System.
- Plan and assist in compliance audits and self-audits.
- Advise management on corrective actions required and monitor environmental reports.
Requirements
- A degree in environmental management or 3-5 years' experience as an environmental consultant/specialist.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with Schlumberger HSE culture and environmental system.
- Experience in environmental training and documentation management.
