About the position

The Equipment Operator position at JDM Golf LLC involves assisting the Superintendent in maintaining high-quality golf courses and ensuring guest satisfaction through effective operation and maintenance of golf course equipment and tools. This role requires both technical skills in equipment operation and knowledge of horticultural practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in maintaining golf courses to ensure high quality and guest satisfaction.
• Perform golf course maintenance activities using proper technical methods.
• Carry out small course improvement projects as needed.
• Assist Groundskeeper with various horticultural activities.
• Perform operator maintenance on golf course equipment.
• Attend monthly and weekly staff meetings, including training and safety meetings.
• Clean the maintenance area and equipment.

Requirements

• Ability to properly and safely operate golf course and landscape equipment.
• Extensive knowledge of the repair and maintenance of golf course equipment.
• Knowledge of tools, supplies, and materials needed for equipment repair and maintenance.
• Familiarity with welding equipment and its safe operation in relation to golf course maintenance.
• Ability to recognize, communicate, and resolve maintenance and repair challenges.
• Knowledge of golf course maintenance techniques and methods.
• Ability to identify common plant species in the southwest region.
• Understanding of fertilizers and pesticides, including application techniques and purposes.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision, follow instructions, and be detail-oriented.
