About the position

The Facilities Equipment Technician role at McDonald's involves performing various maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the proper functioning of facilities and equipment. This position is essential for maintaining safety and operational efficiency within the restaurant environment. The technician will receive ongoing training in specialized equipment maintenance and safety protocols, including OSHA training.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on outside grounds, including parking lot repairs and landscaping.
• Conduct basic lighting and fixture repairs.
• Address safety issues related to outside grounds.
• Perform plumbing repairs and HVAC cleaning and maintenance.
• Conduct exhaust cleaning and preventive maintenance on refrigeration units.
• Carry out basic structural repairs, painting, and signage installations.
• Perform interior repairs in customer service areas, including tile, electrical, and plumbing repairs.
• Maintain and repair equipment in the drive-thru, kitchen, office, crew room, storage, and wash areas.
• Assist in emergency repairs and maintenance in additional properties as needed.

Requirements

• Basic repair and maintenance skills.
• 1 year of facilities maintenance experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's License.

Nice-to-haves

• Special certifications in electrical, refrigeration, or restaurant equipment service.
• Experience with exhaust hood cleaning.
