About the position

The Field Operations Manager at Konecranes is responsible for overseeing the profitability and operational excellence of the Industrial Crane Service within a designated territory. This role emphasizes customer satisfaction, safety, and continuous improvement through effective KPI management. The manager will lead a team of field personnel, ensuring high standards of service delivery and compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for Industrial Crane Service profitability and operational excellence in the assigned Territory/Branch.
  • Manage field operations personnel including Field Supervisors, Inspectors, Technicians, Site Managers, and Site Supervisors.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction for all work and resolve customer concerns/complaints according to the Voice of Customer (VoC) process.
  • Conduct monthly safety meetings, tool-box talks, vehicle/equipment inspections, and field audits in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Monitor and maintain company equipment and assets in compliance with safety standards.
  • Coordinate with Planning and Project Management organizations for sold service work as needed.
  • Ensure all work in progress (WIP) is scheduled or tentatively scheduled on the Planning board.
  • Responsible for productivity in accordance with targeted metrics and for the Gross Margin and Profitability of the branch operation.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years experience as a manager in customer service operations role.
  • Previous experience managing a customer-facing, field service business preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience and well-developed people skills.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical principles.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good PC skills.
  • Must have and maintain a good driving record.

  • Experience in a safety-sensitive position.
  • Willingness to travel as required, including overnight trips.
