About the position

The Field Service Representative (Technician) at QED Systems, LLC is responsible for supporting Mounted Assured Positioning Systems (MAPS) and systems integration efforts at Fort Carson, CO. This role involves technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software systems, ensuring operational efficiency and competency among Army maintainers and operators. The position requires a strong technical background and the ability to work in various environments, including military bases and field settings.

Responsibilities

  • Support Mounted Assured Positioning Systems (MAPS) and systems integration efforts.
  • Perform configuration management and quality assurance testing.
  • Respond to gaining unit requirements for hardware and software maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Screen unserviceable components to verify or eliminate faults.
  • Apply technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles in fault isolation and equipment/system operations restoration.
  • Provide technical support to Army maintainers and operators to enhance their competency.
  • Analyze, design, develop, implement, test, and evaluate major systems and components.
  • Review and prepare engineering and technical analyses, reports, and change proposals.
  • Support engineering staff in conducting systems requirements analyses and provide design team input.
  • Perform RMA actions for equipment under warranty from the OEM.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in a field closely related to the position.
  • Five (5) years of project-related experience, including one (1) year in development, test, and evaluation of major systems.
  • Previous experience as an Army Field Service Representative supporting hardware/software systems.
  • Active Secret clearance required.
  • Detailed-oriented with excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Previous experience with Army combat vehicles (Abrams, Bradleys, Strykers, Paladins, etc.) is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in an OCONUS environment for training rotations and deployment support.
