About the position

The Finance Manager for Business Unit FP&A at GEON Performance Solutions is a critical role responsible for overseeing all business and financial processes necessary for meeting the analytical and reporting needs of the organization. This position ensures the integrity of profitability and leads financial planning and reporting efforts, collaborating with various functional areas to drive business success. The Finance Manager will prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages for senior leaders and guide decision-making processes, while also developing financial tools to manage key business metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Execute all related business and financial processes for analytical and reporting needs.
  • Ensure the integrity of profitability in the business.
  • Lead the preparation of monthly/quarterly reporting and business review packages for senior leaders.
  • Communicate financial results, issues, and trends to management, including executive staff and the Board of Directors.
  • Guide the leadership team in decision-making and actions on a day-to-day and forecasting/planning basis.
  • Coordinate and complete annual and longer-range plans for the business.
  • Develop and implement financial tools that drive key business metrics.
  • Establish and maintain systems and controls to verify the integrity of all systems, processes, and data.
  • Act as a liaison between the business team and Corporate Finance functions.
  • Support the preparation of investor/lender materials for quarterly and annual presentations.
  • Manage special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, or related field required.
  • MBA and/or CPA is a plus.
  • 5 - 8 years of progressive corporate or business unit finance roles providing business partnership to executives.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic planning skills.
  • Ability to synthesize complex business/financial data and develop innovative solutions.
  • Highly developed leadership, teambuilding, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer and results orientation.
  • Strong understanding of the industry and demonstrated knowledge in financial analysis.
  • Ability to facilitate progressive change and work cross-functionally across different enterprise disciplines.
  • Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Excellent verbal, written, and executive presentation skills.
