About the position

The Fire Alarm Technician position at East West Staffing, Inc. (EWS) involves the installation, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems in commercial environments. The role requires a skilled technician who can work nights and travel as needed, ensuring compliance with safety standards and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Properly install both copper and fiber optic cable for Fire Alarm systems in commercial environments.
• Terminate copper cable (Cat5e, Cat6, etc.) correctly.
• Create and install labels for systems.
• Install low voltage systems, focusing on Fire Alarm systems.
• Perform all component and system testing.
• Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
• Understand basic wiring diagrams and installation instructions.
• Work with small telecommunication components such as fiber optic strands and small gauge copper wire.
• Use proper care on all company assets to avoid breakage, misuse, theft, etc.
• Help load and unload daily supplies and equipment onto and off of company vehicles.
• Act in a professional and courteous manner on all matters involving the customer.

Requirements

• Ability to pass pre-employment screening.
• Valid Driver's License.
• 3 years of experience in fire alarm systems.
• Fire Alarm License.

Nice-to-haves

• Scissors and Boom Lift Experience preferred.
• Finger & wrist dexterity & hand/eye coordination.
