About the position

The Glazier and Flat Glass Technician at Glass Doctor is responsible for installing flat glass products and providing exceptional customer service. This role requires a minimum of one year of experience in glass installation, where the technician will assist residential and business customers, ensuring their safety and satisfaction during glass repairs and installations. The position emphasizes attention to detail, precision in measurements, and the ability to identify additional customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Install flat glass products for doors, storefronts, windows, showers, mirrors, tabletops, and other glass-related items.
• Perform repairs as necessary.
• Cut glass to size for custom projects.
• Take precise measurements to ensure materials meet specified dimensions.
• Evaluate the rest of the customer's home or business to determine other needs.
• Put customers at ease by effectively explaining necessary services.
• Collect payment from customers for the work performed.

Requirements

• One year or more of glass installation experience, with glass cutting experience preferred.
• Knowledge and understanding of the basic tools of the trade.
• Must be insurable with a valid driver's license and clean driving record to drive a company vehicle.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. independently.
• Comfortable with heights, ladders, and lifts.
• Comfortable using mobile technology and digital software.
