About the position

The Fleet Safety & DOT Compliance Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring that motor carriers maintain compliance with state and federal transportation regulations. This hybrid position involves both on-site and remote work, primarily serving clients in the Mobile, AL area. The specialist will develop and sustain relationships with clients, manage multiple compliance-related projects, and ensure accurate documentation and reporting of compliance activities.

Responsibilities

• Accurately document client contact and provide timely feedback.
• Manage multiple priorities related to transportation compliance documents and filings.
• Support existing clients by handling duties related to driver qualification documents, drug and alcohol testing results, FMCSA pre-employment screening results, USDOT registrations, and hours of service regulations.
• Represent clients in FMCSA and state compliance reviews.
• Review, organize, and audit documents in an electronic virtual environment.
• Work with new clients to set up support services processes and train them on TCS procedures.
• Follow standards and procedures related to services offered to clients in a virtual setting.

Requirements

• Associates Degree or higher in business or regulatory compliance related field or equivalent/relevant work experience.
• Experience with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulation compliance or Human Resources related functions preferred.
• Experience in auditing or clerical work with trucking companies.
• Excellent time management, multitasking, and stress management skills.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Self-motivated and able to adapt to change and competing demands.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Operating systems and Microsoft Office software suite.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Adobe Acrobat software.
