About the position
Johnston Motor Company is seeking a qualified Lube Technician to join their team in Florence, OR. The role involves performing vehicle maintenance tasks in accordance with dealership and factory standards, ensuring a high level of service in a fast-paced environment. The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, and offers competitive pay based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform lubrication services
- Check vehicle tire air pressure
- Check all fluids and maintenance-related parts and top-off or replace fluids or filters/parts as required
- Ensure that all equipment is in working order
- Operate a wide variety of vehicles; both automatic & manual transmissions
- Operate and maintain all lubrication equipment
- Perform routine multi-point inspections, tests, and complete standard maintenance jobs
- Perform thorough check of customers' cars (i.e. battery, lights, tires) and refer all needed repairs and preventative maintenance to the Service Manager
- Replace oil and air filters as directed by repair order
- Complete brake inspections and document brake wear
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Experience and knowledge in automotive servicing and repair
- Professional appearance and customer-oriented attitude
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
- Valid in-state driver's license with acceptable driving record according to dealership guidelines
- Basic mechanical understanding of automobiles
- Willing to submit to a pre-employment motor vehicle records check and drug screening
- Must have own tools, or ability to acquire tools after hire
