About the position

The Automotive Service Technician at Queen City Ford is responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicles, performing maintenance services, and ensuring the safety and functionality of all vehicle systems. This role is crucial in maintaining the high standards of service in one of the busiest shops in the area, with a focus on efficiency and accuracy in repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy
• Diagnose cause of vehicle malfunction and perform repair
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts
• Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required
• Notify service advisor immediately if additional work outlined is not needed or required
• Notify service advisor immediately if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised
• Document work performed
• Road-test vehicles when required or refer to the test technician

Requirements

• Ford experience is preferred but not required
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record
• Submit to and successfully complete MVR, background check

• Experience with various vehicle systems such as brakes, A/C, tires, transmission, engine
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
