About the position

The Franchise Candidate Qualifier at Neighborly is responsible for identifying and qualifying prospective franchise owners within a specific industry and geographical territory. This role involves performing outbound sales calls to generate interest in Neighborly's brand concepts and requires strong communication and sales skills to engage potential franchisees effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Identify business owners within a specific industry and geographical territory who meet the criteria to be prospective franchise owners.
  • Perform outbound sales calls to generate interest and qualify business owners for Neighborly's brand concepts.
  • Utilize multiple sources to locate future franchisees, including online directories and Better Business Bureau lists.
  • Follow specific scripts for making outbound calls to prospective franchisees.
  • Use strong listening and sales skills to resolve and overcome objections from prospective franchisees.
  • Answer incoming calls from future franchisees and return all calls in a timely manner.
  • Use GbBIS mapping software and FranConnect to review territories open for new franchises based on demographics.
  • Coordinate with internal and external staff to accomplish sales goals.
  • Operate a variety of office equipment, including personal computers and printers.
  • Utilize business software packages such as Excel, Outlook, FranConnect, and RingCentral for daily tasks and reporting.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university is preferred.
  • Two (2) or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
  • Ability to type at least 25 wpm.
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret documents effectively.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in sales or franchise development is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously with little support.
