About the position
The Front Desk Coordinator at Precision Orthodontics in Toledo, OH, plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring a smooth operational flow within the dental practice. This position focuses on patient interaction, administrative tasks, and financial management, all while embodying the practice's guiding principle of empathy. The coordinator will work closely with patients to provide information, schedule appointments, and handle insurance verification, contributing to a transformative dental experience.
Responsibilities
- Handle financial information with quality control, performing insurance verification and preparing end-of-day reports.
- Perform clerical tasks such as sorting, opening, distributing mail, scanning, and photocopying.
- Answer phone calls and provide information to callers; greet visitors/patients; schedule, verify, and confirm patient appointments.
- Explain procedures and/or services to patients using dental knowledge.
- Present financial policies and arrangements to patients, collect co-payments, and verify insurance coverage as appropriate.
- Track appointments due to no-shows, cancellations, and late arrivals.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree preferred).
- 1-5 years of customer service, insurance, or dental experience preferred.
- Knowledge of dental software and Microsoft Office programs, with the ability to learn new programs as needed.
