About the position

The Construction Foreman position at TAIT involves overseeing construction activities, supervising job site personnel and subcontractors, and ensuring projects are completed efficiently and safely. The role emphasizes maximizing profitability while meeting client expectations and maintaining high-quality standards. The foreman will also act as the Job Site Safety Officer, implementing safety policies and conducting daily safety meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and participate in all field activities.
  • Provide photo documentation of all phases of the day.
  • Be present in the work area unless relieved by an interim Foreman approved by the Construction Manager or Project Manager.
  • Order materials and document rental equipment.
  • Inspect and inventory equipment/materials/parts upon delivery.
  • Schedule inspections and oversee subcontractors.
  • Conduct and document daily tailgate safety meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with safety requirements and maintain a clean work area.
  • Report all accidents and incidents to PM or Construction Manager.
  • Keep the job on schedule and discuss issues affecting the schedule daily.
  • Complete and submit daily logs and warranty documents.
  • Obtain and submit installation/operating instructions for new equipment.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years related experience in commercial petroleum construction installation/supervision.
  • ICC UST Install/Retrofit, ICC UST Removal and ICC Service Technician and Veeder Root certifications.
  • Excellent judgement and ability to deal with changing field conditions.
  • 24 or 40-hour HAZWOPER certificate or current 8-hour refresher courses.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word).

  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients and team members.
  • Ability to read and interpret design plans and machine diagnostic reports.
  • Ability to drive/haul trailer to and from job sites.
