About the position
The Fuel Storage Tank Construction Laborer at TAIT plays a vital role in ensuring environmental compliance for clients in the petroleum industry. This position involves testing, maintaining, repairing, and installing refueling equipment across various facilities, including commercial, municipal, marinas, and airports. The Laborer will work closely with a Foreman to develop skills in troubleshooting and repairs while learning state and local regulatory directives. The role emphasizes a commitment to safety and quality, with opportunities for professional growth and a supportive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Complete required training classes to obtain necessary certifications.
- Learn and demonstrate proper installation techniques for UST & AST systems.
- Assist Foreman in diagnosing and performing repairs on UST & AST systems.
- Fill out project-associated paperwork accurately.
- Enter inspection data into online data collection systems using a company laptop.
- Drive the company work truck to client job sites as needed.
- Perform all work safely according to company and client safety requirements.
Requirements
- Valid and current Driver's License with the ability to drive extensively up to 1,000 miles per week.
- Experience working with general handheld tools such as pipe wrenches and voltmeters.
- Strong organization and scheduling skills.
- Previous experience with laptops, computers, and Microsoft programs.
- Proficiency in all Construction Apprentice position requirements.
