About the position

The Geospatial Analyst position at Hexagon US Federal involves utilizing geospatial technology and data analysis to support operational decision-making for the US Federal government. The role encompasses a variety of tasks including data acquisition, conversion, analysis, and visualization, as well as providing training to colleagues. This position offers a dynamic work environment where technical skills are applied to solve real-world problems, fostering both professional and personal growth.

Responsibilities

• Acquire geospatial data from multiple sources and convert it between different GIS and non-GIS formats.
• Digitize GIS data from various sources.
• Perform vector-based analytic functions including spatial queries, buffer analysis, clipping, merging, and joining.
• Integrate satellite imagery and perform raster image processing.
• Create animations and video fly-throughs using the ArcGIS software suite.
• Provide GIS training to colleagues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
• Experience acquiring geospatial data from multiple sources.
• Ability to digitize GIS data from various sources.
• Experience performing vector-based analytic functions.
• Experience integrating satellite imagery and performing raster image processing.
• Ability to create animations and video fly-throughs using ArcGIS software suite.
• Ability to provide GIS training.
• Required Level of Security Clearance: Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information.
