About the position

The Production Associate at Goodwill is responsible for handling donated goods, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring efficient workflow in the production cycle. This part-time role involves loading and unloading items, sorting textiles, and maintaining cleanliness in the work area, all while contributing to the mission of supporting the community and environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to donors and customers by greeting and accepting donations at the donation station.
• Issue donor receipts in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Handle and sort donated goods into appropriate containers.
• Load, unload, and move donated goods, including furniture, using a hand truck.
• Supply team members with materials and restock supplies as needed.
• Sort and price donated items with limited supervision.
• Tag, rotate, and place products on shelves per guidelines.
• Keep aisles free from debris and ensure work areas remain clean and organized.
• Inform Team Leader or Manager of possible safety hazards.
• Maintain good housekeeping standards and adhere to loss prevention procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months to 1 year of experience in a retail customer service-oriented environment.
• Ability to bend, lift, grasp, and move continuously throughout the day.
• Good verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively as a team.
• Must meet the physical requirements of the position.
• For positions requiring driving, must maintain a valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
