About The Position

The Government Operations Consultant II (Law Enforcement Intelligence Analyst I) position is an entry-level role within the Florida Highway Patrol's Bureau of Criminal Investigations and Intelligence. The primary purpose of this role is to compile, analyze, and disseminate intelligence information from various law enforcement and open sources to support investigations and enhance public safety. The position requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and the ability to handle sensitive information while maintaining confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of criminal or military intelligence, financial and investigative analysis.
  • Knowledge of research and intelligence analysis techniques and procedures.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information responsibly.
  • Ability to research, organize, and analyze large volumes of criminal intelligence data.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to prepare and present oral, written, and graphical presentations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with law enforcement personnel.
  • Ability to operate computer applications and learn new software programs.

Nice To Haves

  • At least four years of experience in intelligence or analysis.
  • At least one year of experience in intelligence or analysis with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Criminal Justice or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Compile, analyze, and disseminate intelligence information from law enforcement and open sources.
  • Conduct research on large volumes of criminal intelligence data to identify trends and patterns.
  • Support investigations relevant to the Florida Highway Patrol's Bureau of Criminal Investigations and Intelligence.
  • Respond to requests for analytical and investigative assistance from law enforcement agencies.
  • Research, analyze, and evaluate criminal intelligence information for reliability and accuracy.
  • Develop investigative leads and associations in support of law enforcement investigations.
  • Prepare and distribute intelligence reports, briefings, and threat assessments.
  • Conduct complex research on crime-specific or domestic security-related information.
  • Request, receive, analyze, and document confidential information using technical systems.
  • Establish and maintain liaison with law enforcement and regulatory agency personnel.
