About The Position

The Grant Accountant position at Mohr Talent involves maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, and assisting with various accounting functions within the Finance Department. The role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to work autonomously while supporting the team in various capacities, including backup for other staff members. The Grant Accountant will also participate in financial audits and assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Three or more years of experience in accounting and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in English; bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining financial records and reports.
• Performing general ledger account analysis.
• Preparing account reconciliations and bank account/credit card reconciliations.
• Reconciling specified general ledger accounts and preparing account analysis; resolving reconciliation differences monthly.
• Preparing monthly journal entries and reviewing for accuracy.
• Maintaining Fixed Assets and related Depreciation Schedules.
• Calculating and reporting sales tax.
• Preparing or reviewing financial reports, analyses, work papers, or schedules relating to significant or complex accounting areas.
• Conducting cash flow analysis and cash forecasting.
• Managing treasury functions, including preparation of ACH and wire transfers.
• Participating in discrete accounting projects as assigned.
• Assisting with budget/forecast activities and compliance with audits.
• Completing month-end close tasks in a timely manner.
• Assisting in the preparation of monthly financial statements and for both internal and external financial audits.
• Performing all other duties as assigned by Accounting Manager, Controller, and CFO.
