About the position
The Grocery Supervisor at Balducci's is responsible for overseeing the grocery department, ensuring cleanliness, maintaining attractive displays, and providing excellent customer service. This full-time hourly position involves assisting the Grocery Department Manager and supervising grocery associates to enhance the shopping experience for customers.
Responsibilities
- Report to and assist the store Grocery Department Manager with any tasks as requested
- Maintain cleanliness and appearance of department throughout the course of the day
- Maintain and construct attractive Grocery displays
- Respond to the needs of customers by answering questions and assisting in product selection
- Restock and merchandise displays and shelves throughout the day
- Assist with receipt of product, ensuring proper documentation and storage
- Assist in the training of other associates to ensure optimal customer service
- Gain familiarity with all store products to provide full customer service and increase sales
- Supervise and delegate tasks to Grocery associates.
Requirements
- Related Grocery experience
- Basic computer knowledge
- Retail ordering familiarity
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to provide superior customer service
- Previous supervisory experience
