About the position

The Help Desk Specialist at Corvid Technologies is responsible for providing first-level support for computer and telephone-related issues. This role involves problem determination, escalation, tracking, and resolution of technical issues for both local and remote users. The specialist will also perform network administration maintenance tasks and ensure timely reporting of IT operations and inventory status.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level support for computer and telephone issues.
  • Assist local and remote users with hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Ensure incidents and requests are handled according to agreed procedures.
  • Document supported components and ensure documentation is available for support teams.
  • Anticipate, investigate, and resolve problems in systems and services.
  • Coordinate the implementation of remedies and preventative measures.
  • Provide support to hardware, software, and telephone users through various communication methods.
  • Utilize knowledge of MS Office, desktop operating systems, and end-user network administration.
  • Responsible for user, account, and service provisioning.
  • Install and deploy software on endpoints.
  • Record, track, escalate, update calls, and close tickets using problem management software.
  • Design and create structured documentation for complex information.
  • Resolve problems using electronic tools and technical support documentation.
  • Participate in project activities as assigned by management.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and team members.
  • Take responsibility for workload and keep others informed of potential problems.
  • Coordinate activities with other team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or 1-2 years of experience in IT Support.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
  • Strong desire and ability to learn.
  • Team-oriented and outgoing.
