About the position

The Home Health Aide (HHA) position at SYNERGY HomeCare of Bradenton involves providing compassionate and competent care to clients in their homes. The role includes personal care, companionship, and light housekeeping, with a focus on enhancing the quality of life for clients. The HHA will work flexible hours, including potential overnight and 12-hour shifts, and will receive ongoing training and support to advance their skills and career.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine transfer assistance, memory care, behavior de-escalation, and incontinence care.
• Assist clients with personal hygiene, toileting, showering, and dressing.
• Offer medication reminders, exercise and mobility assistance, and fall prevention support.
• Engage clients socially and provide companionship, including meal preparation and transportation.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning living spaces and running errands.
• Assist with personal assistant tasks, including pet care and scheduling appointments.

Requirements

• Completion of at least 40 hours of Home Health Aide training courses with a Home Care Agency.
• Passing the Home Health Aide knowledge test.
• Certification of hands-on Personal Care and other HHA skills by a Registered Nurse.
• Ability to pass a Level 2 Background Check.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire).
• At least three years of experience working in home care or a facility serving seniors.
