About the position

The Honda Flat Rate Technician at Hoffman Auto Group is responsible for repairing vehicles efficiently and ethically, prioritizing customer satisfaction. This role requires maintaining certifications, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, diagnosing customer complaints, and completing authorized repairs according to manufacturer and company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Repair vehicles in a safe, efficient, ethical manner with customer satisfaction as the first priority.
  • Maintain ASE and/or manufacturer-required certifications and stay updated with technical data and service bulletins.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and OSHA regulations related to the job.
  • Read and understand customer complaints, diagnose issues, and advise findings.
  • Complete all authorized repairs in accordance with manufacturer and company policy.
  • Return warranty parts to the parts department and road test vehicles as needed to verify completion of repairs.
  • Document all repairs using internet-based tools and physical Repair Order documentation as per department requirements.
  • Meet all flat-rate hour production-based metrics as prescribed by management.
  • Act as a leader, mentor, and trainer to employees in Technician, Lube Technician, and Apprentice Technician roles.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Valid Driver's license
  • 1-2 years experience in a customer service oriented environment preferred
  • Ability to adapt and embrace change with a customer-centric mindset
  • Strong commitment to technology advancement
  • Effective communication skills: oral, written, listening
  • Ability to work well with customers and promote a positive image of the company
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
