About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
• 4 years of painting experience (Required)
• Knowledge of applying plaster, grouting, caulking, and drywall repair or installation.
• Ability to work at a fast pace while keeping the work area clean of debris, spills, and splatter of paint and plaster.
• Experience in wallpapering and proper care of all materials, tools, and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Paint, maintain and repair painted, wall-covered, stained and varnished surfaces of building structures, rooms, furniture and equipment throughout the hotel and facilities.
• Prepare and paint surfaces using techniques and tools including measuring surfaces, applying spackle and plaster, mixing paint, matching paint, and using brushes, rollers, and spray-guns.
• Install and repair covered wall and ceiling surfaces including hanging vinyl paper, fabric, and foil wall coverings.
• Provide day-to-day preventative maintenance under the direction of the Chief Engineer to keep all buildings and equipment in good repair with minimal downtime.
• Ensure paint and walls are maintained to standards and support the improvement of engineering services to guests and associates.
• Share day-to-day knowledge and skills in support of a learning culture.
