About the position

The HR Generalist at Jones Fish and Lake Management will play a crucial role in maintaining compliance and supporting employees and management in various HR functions. This full-time position involves overseeing employee onboarding, managing HR programs, and ensuring adherence to employment laws and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Implement new hire orientation and employee onboarding process.
• Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including worker's compensation, benefits, and leave.
• Handle employment-related inquiries from employees and supervisors, referring complex matters to appropriate staff.
• Assist branch management with updating Paycor systems and documents for employees.
• Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
• Assist employees with information on updating their Paycor information and accessing paystubs.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Review, track, and document compliance, maintaining needed continuing education and work assessments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 5 years experience working as an HR Generalist or similar position.
• Associate's degree or additional equivalent work experience required.
• PHR or SHRM CP highly preferred.
• Experience in utilizing Paycor.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
