About the position

The Human Resources Manager at Northpoint Roofing Systems will oversee payroll, employee relations, and benefits, playing a crucial role in supporting the company's growth. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with HRIS experience, dedicated to fostering a positive work environment in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process bi-weekly payroll for various business units, including hourly, salary, and commission-only employees across multiple states.
• Maintain and update employee records within Paylocity HRIS, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Provide administrative support for HR functions such as leaves of absence, separations, and offboarding processes.
• Manage and support health, life insurance, and other employee benefits programs.
• Assist with recruiting efforts, ensuring smooth onboarding processes.
• Maintain organizational charts and develop comprehensive job descriptions to align with company needs and growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of HR and payroll experience, with hands-on expertise in HRIS (Paylocity experience a plus).
• Strong understanding of HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Proven multitasking abilities with a strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruiting best practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a customer-service oriented approach.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment, particularly in a smaller office setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the home services industry (HVAC, Plumbing, Roofing, Pest, etc.) is preferred but not required.
