The Human Resources Expert at Target plays a crucial role in fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment while supporting the HR team in various operational tasks. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about enhancing guest experiences and building a strong sales force through effective talent management and recruitment strategies.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests.
• Observe to quickly understand whether a guest needs assistance or wants to interact.
• Engage with guests in a genuine way, asking questions to better understand their specific needs.
• Be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the store to solve issues for guests.
• Know the store sales goals and trends impacting business results.
• Work with HR leaders to anticipate and address specific talent and staffing needs.
• Execute intentional recruiting efforts to help store leaders find and hire talent.
• Support the training needs of the store's sales force and advocate for continuous learning.
• Act as an expert resource for scheduling systems and pay practices.
• Listen to team members and collaborate with leaders to take action as needed.
• Deliver on all Human Resources operational and cyclical programs.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.

Requirements

• Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment law.
• Experience using basic Office Suite computer and workforce management programs.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment.
• Effective communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes.
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment.
