About the position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for mechanical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance across the manufacturing plant, ensuring continuous operation and timely repairs. This role requires collaboration with production and quality teams to maintain production output and support engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and controls equipment.
• Work closely with production and quality teams to maintain production output.
• Provide resources and support to help the engineering team execute projects efficiently throughout the plant.
• Operation, troubleshoot, and repair of Steam, Refrigeration, and Wastewater systems.
• Fabrication of components, tools and equipment.
• Execute and complete PM (Preventative Maintenance) work without production interruption as directed by Maintenance Supervisor and Lead.
• Direct actions as necessary to ensure safety.
• Maintain CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System); work order entry, completions, requisitions, inventory.
• Utilize SAP for completing Purchase requisitions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on mechanical maintenance experience.
• Experience working on and around Sanitary Systems.
• Experience with troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment working with pumps, gearboxes, and steam traps.
• Experience fabricating components, tools, and equipment.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.).
• Boiler Experience - Blue or Black Seal Boiler License is a plus.
• Desire and ability to learn about new and existing processing systems.
• Ability to lift 50lbs and comfortable working at elevated heights.
• Food Manufacturing and GMP Environment Experience preferred.
• Ability to work on electrical systems preferred; motors, drives, PLC's, temperature, flow and other control instruments and devices.
• Stainless Steel and Sanitary Welding skills is a plus.
• Strong communication skills.
