About the position

The Industrial Network Services Delivery Technician plays a crucial role in supporting customer operations in process and discrete manufacturing by scoping and delivering on-site services. This dynamic technical position involves project delivery and customer service responsibilities, ensuring high-quality products and services are provided to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a pre-sales technical consultant to provide technical services & solutions to customers.
  • Develop scope of work and customer-facing proposals.
  • Execute documented service procedures and on-site data collection at customer facilities, including Network Assessments and Cybersecurity Assessments.
  • Collaborate with engineering and IT teams to design and implement network solutions that meet operational requirements.
  • Scope and deliver customized remote and onsite services, including troubleshooting industrial network infrastructure, servers, systems & applications.
  • Installation & configuration of network infrastructure, servers & applications.
  • Document work activities in a clear and professional report format.
  • Develop & present report findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Assist in the development of remediation plans and technical roadmaps.
  • Promote best practice industrial network design.
  • Demonstrate core competency around Industrial Controls & Automation products and associated manufacturing technology.
  • Provide post-sale technical & implementation support to build competency and confidence of customers.
  • Conduct technical presentations and product updates.
  • Attend supplier partner training (Canada/US) to maintain a high level of specialized product and application knowledge.

Requirements

  • Licensed Construction & Maintenance Electrician (309A), Industrial Electrician (442A) or Field Service Technician in an industrial environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years as an Industrial Electrician or equivalent hands-on work experience, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Understanding of safe work practices and risk management in industrial and process environments, including utilization of personal protective equipment as required.
  • Experience with Arc Flash & Lock out/Tag out safety procedures is an asset.
  • Time management, organizational and problem-solving proficiency.
  • Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Technical understanding of industrial automation systems.
  • Awareness of manufacturing business drivers.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing demands.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented.
  • A valid driver's license and passport will be required for this position.

Nice-to-haves
