About the position

Weyerhaeuser is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to support the Northern California market from the Stockton Distribution Center. This role focuses on building and maintaining customer relationships, managing sales orders, and promoting a full range of products including engineered wood and specialty building products. The Inside Sales Representative will be integral to the local sales team, driving sales margin growth and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivates knowledge, relationships, and position of influence to proactively sell products to established and prospective customers.
  • Transacts sales activity and manages sales order entry/management.
  • Responds to, investigates, and resolves relationship-based sales issues of varying complexity.
  • Manages established customer programs and assists in developing new customer programs.
  • Maintains and grows customer relationships both individually and collaboratively with the sales team.
  • Gathers market intelligence to inform decisions around product mix, pricing, inventory levels, and demand outlook.
  • Executes marketing and communication plans with customers, including promotions and updates to products/pricing/service.

Requirements

  • Minimum HS Diploma or GED
  • 2 years' experience in sales and/or customer service
  • Strong communication skills (authentic, adaptive, persuasive)
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Broad level of experience with building materials products
  • Knowledge of factors influencing profitability
  • Understands and articulates basic financial drivers of retail, wholesale, and construction industry.
