About the position

The IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, hardware, or software. This role involves planning, designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining applications and related integrations for enterprise solutions, while ensuring that customer needs are met through expert insight into application and infrastructure activities.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to highly complex and unconventional queries from external and internal customers.
  • Assist the business with process improvements and development of metrics from information technology systems.
  • Conduct research in the marketplace to determine best practices and emerging trends, recommending action as appropriate.
  • Evaluate and recommend external suppliers and contractors for the provision of services.
  • Take a proactive role in facilitating and monitoring adoption and use of systems.
  • Research and keep up-to-date on related applications technology trends and their potential benefits to the company.
  • Work with IT peers and cross-functional teams in the evaluation, implementation, enhancement, and support of solutions.
  • Identify, track, and escalate severe issues and problems trends to upper tier support and/or management.
  • Use advanced analysis and problem-solving techniques to assess, identify, and recommend/resolve process and application challenges.
  • Provide technical leadership in all project phases including analysis, design, development, implementation, testing, and support.
  • Develop technical documentation (training/user manuals) in a clear and concise manner.
  • Coach, motivate, and mentor other team members.
  • Work as a member of a team to achieve all outcomes.
  • Operate in accordance with the company's Code of Conduct and Business Ethics, and all established regulatory, compliance, and safety requirements.
