About the position

The Junior Computer Repair Technician role at Schrock Innovations involves providing technical support and repair services for computers, phones, and tablets. The technician will work directly with customers to diagnose and resolve issues, ensuring a positive customer experience. This position requires both technical knowledge and strong communication skills, as well as the ability to lift equipment and work flexible hours, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair computer hardware and software issues.
• Assist customers in person, over the phone, or remotely via Schrock Desk.
• Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions.
• Lift and carry equipment weighing up to 40lbs, such as computer towers.
• Maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record for customer service calls.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of computer component structure.
• Comfortable working in Windows, OSx, iOS, and Android environments.
• Ability to communicate directly with customers.
• Experience in customer service (1 year preferred).
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Valid driver's license and insurance.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a break/fix repair environment.
• Familiarity with data recovery services.
