About the position

The Junior HRIS Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the maintenance, design, functionality, and data integrity of various systems that manage employee lifecycle transactions within the City of Boca Raton. This position focuses on automating and streamlining HR operations, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, and providing guidance to system users across the city. The analyst collaborates with internal services, recommends process improvements, and maintains position control while providing data for evaluating personnel operations.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage position control to ensure accurate position demographics.
  • Perform employee data management functions including processing and updating information.
  • Ensure accurate processing and auditing of payroll and personnel transaction activity.
  • Develop and generate reports using HRIS and integrated system reporting tools.
  • Maintain and create Agents and Jobs in Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI).
  • Implement regular audits to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Participate in system upgrades, enhancements, testing, and quality control of HRIS data standards.
  • Support administration, testing, maintenance, and user training of HR systems.
  • Serve as a systems liaison with other departments and process stakeholders.
  • Assist in managing the digitized document management system (Laserfiche).
  • Participate in the implementation of new automated workflows and document storage processes.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent recognized certification.
  • Three (3) years of experience in an HR role with HRIS or HR data maintenance experience.
  • Experience working in the testing, configuration, and maintenance of business systems.
  • Possession of a valid State of Florida Class 'E' driver's license.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working within public sector or public service for a municipality.
  • Post-secondary education from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience with Oracle HCM and its related reporting system (OTBI), NeoGov, Volgistics, and PowerBI.
  • HR certification such as Human Resource Information Professional (HRIP) or Associate Professional Human Resources (aPHR).
