About the position

The Kids Sales Associate at Rooms To Go is responsible for engaging with customers in the KIDS furniture showroom, helping them identify their home furnishing needs, and generating sales through a consultative approach. This part-time role offers competitive pay, uncapped commissions, and comprehensive training to ensure associates are equipped for success in a dynamic retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and engage customers
• Uncover customer's home furnishing needs to help them make their design vision become a reality
• Generate sales through a consultative approach
• Build rapport with customers through strong interpersonal skills and excellent listening skills
• Encourage additional products to complete the room
• Work as a team to achieve sales goals
• Explain financing and protection plans
• Demonstrate product value and explain benefits that fulfill the customer's needs

Requirements

• Experience working directly with customers
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to use current electronic devices, such as tablets and touch screens
• Willingness to work a flexible retail schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Nice-to-haves

• 2+ years of retail sales experience preferred, but not required
• Team player, driven and motivated to succeed
• Great listener with a positive attitude and an outgoing personality
