The Kitchen Runner at Miami Valley Gaming plays a crucial role in supporting the Food & Beverage team by ensuring efficient transfer and organization of food and supplies. Responsibilities

• Transfer products between outlets as necessary.
• Organize food and consumable supplies, chemicals, and paper products for the Food & Beverage Department.
• Follow industry standards for sanitation and product handling.
• Establish order for receiving and storing products in refrigerators/freezers and dry storage according to FIFO procedures.
• Consolidate items in the warehouse for inspection, transfer, or proper storage placement.
• Complete training for operating equipment used in receiving and storage, such as manual lift dolly.
• Verify quantity and identity of materials as shown on the receipt document.
• Inspect shipments for expiration dates and quality to minimize waste.
• Report damaged or sub-par products to the supervisor.
• Complete opening and closing side work as assigned.
• Unpack and store products according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
• Identify appropriate storage for various products (freezer, refrigerator, non-refrigerated, or chemical).
• Provide quick assistance to any issues in kitchen or delivery areas.
• Answer guest questions regarding food preparation and ingredients.
• Assist cooks with minimal prep duties when necessary.
• Communicate with and assist the Stewarding/Kitchen team as needed.

Requirements

• Dependable and guest-focused attitude.
• Ability to lift and carry items weighing 30-50 pounds.
• Knowledge of food preparation and ingredients.
