About the position

The Laborer position at Keesler AFB involves performing various maintenance tasks related to golf carts and course grounds. The role is essential for ensuring the proper functioning of equipment and the upkeep of the golf course, contributing to a pleasant experience for users. The position requires physical labor and the ability to follow instructions while using hand tools and powered equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform simple golf cart maintenance, including replenishing fuel/charge levels and washing carts.
• Prepare golf carts for customer use and mark the course for cart control.
• Maintain ball washers, replace tee towels and flags, and remove debris.
• Assist in the maintenance of course grounds using powered equipment such as clippers and weed trimmers.
• Dig ditches and holes for plants and irrigation systems, and fill holes with dirt.
• Perform other related work as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to use, control, and clean common hand tools and simple power equipment.
• Ability to follow oral and/or written instructions.
• Physically able to frequently lift and carry medium to heavy objects up to 40 pounds, and occasionally lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to actively bend, stoop, stand, reach, and work in awkward positions.
