About the position

The Lead Finance Manager for Spend Data Management & Effectiveness is responsible for ensuring effective data management practices for spend optimization, driving automation in reporting and analysis, and collaborating with various teams to enhance data quality and usability. This role involves managing complex data sets, supporting the maintenance of processed records, and leading best practices in data management to optimize marketing spend strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure effective Data Management practices for Spend Optimization including data Storage & processing.
  • Manage MSE data, review and process data, and conduct initial quality assurance on a weekly/monthly basis.
  • Support the maintenance of processed and modeled records, including intellectual property management.
  • Source, update, and store weekly/monthly data files related to all applicable marketing spend.
  • Coordinate data cleansing and streamlining efforts to enhance quality of input data.
  • Drive improvements in off-take/retail scan data templates to enhance data quality and usability.
  • Develop and drive automation tools for KPI tracking related to Spend Optimization.
  • Support the automation of modeling processes for ad hoc MSE analysis.
  • Drive the automation process for MSE data model and spend reconciliation process.
  • Report and dashboard all MSE models and outputs.
  • Provide inputs to the Agency to improve the MSE tool and its operational effectiveness.
  • Work closely with Agency & DBS/3rd party service providers to build in-house capability for MSE tool.
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of stored data through regular updates and quality checks.
  • Conduct initial screening of data to ensure inputs meet required data standards.
  • Define data standards and data quality requirements in alignment with budget holders and stakeholders.
  • Implement best practices for data storage, processing, and management.
  • Facilitate communication and knowledge sharing across departments to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance data management capabilities.

Requirements

  • Three to Five years of experience in Finance, Commercial Finance, Commercial Planning & Insights, Data Management, Analysis, and Insights Generation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • Advanced Excel and Data Automation skills.
  • Proven experience in financial and commercial data storage, processing, and automation.
  • Experience with data automation tools such as Alteryx, Microsoft Power Automate, UiPath.
  • Ability to analyze large amounts of data and provide meaningful insights.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in data analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficient with Power BI, MicroStrategy.
  • BPC/SAP knowledge preferred.
  • Advanced Degrees: An MBA or Master's Degree in relevant field can be advantageous.
