About the position

The Lead IT Architect for Teamcenter is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing comprehensive Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions using Siemens Teamcenter. This role requires extensive experience in PLM systems, particularly Teamcenter, to drive digital transformation and ensure alignment between business objectives and technical solutions. The architect will lead implementation projects, collaborate with various stakeholders, and provide technical leadership to cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement scalable Teamcenter PLM architectures tailored to meet business needs.
  • Define and document solution roadmaps, integration strategies, and best practices for Teamcenter implementations.
  • Lead all phases of Teamcenter PLM implementation projects, including requirements gathering, system design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Ensure seamless integration of Teamcenter with ERP (e.g., SAP), MES, and other enterprise systems.
  • Architect solutions for complex integrations, including BOM management, Change Management, CAD integrations, and workflows.
  • Optimize existing Teamcenter environments for performance, scalability, and usability.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, engineering, manufacturing, and IT teams to gather requirements and deliver value-driven solutions.
  • Translate business objectives into technical designs and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Establish PLM standards, governance frameworks, and compliance policies to maintain system integrity and security.
  • Perform system health checks, audits, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Provide technical leadership to cross-functional teams, mentoring junior architects and engineers on Teamcenter capabilities and best practices.
  • Deliver training sessions to stakeholders to drive system adoption and proficiency.
  • Stay current with Siemens Teamcenter advancements and industry trends, recommending innovative solutions to enhance business processes.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process automation and digital transformation within PLM systems.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in PLM systems with a strong focus on Siemens Teamcenter.
  • Proven track record in implementing and managing large-scale Teamcenter PLM projects.
  • Deep knowledge of Teamcenter architecture, modules (e.g., Active Workspace, BOM, Change Management, Workflow Design), and customization.
  • Expertise in Teamcenter integration with Upstream CRM/CPQ (Salesforce) and ALM (Polarion) systems and downstream Design Automation (Rulestream, SAP Product Configurator) and ERP (SAP, Oracle).
  • Strong proficiency in programming and scripting (e.g., C++, Java, ITK, RAC, BMIDE).
  • Expertise in PLM-ERP-MES integrations, particularly Teamcenter-SAP interfaces.
  • Familiarity with engineering, manufacturing, and product lifecycle management processes in industries such as automotive, aerospace, or industrial machinery.

Nice-to-haves

  • Significant experience in cloud software development: designing, developing and debugging scalable solutions.
  • Experience leading scrum teams or Software Architecture development.
  • Solid understanding of software development fundamentals.
  • Experience with contemporary development tools such as Git, continuous integration and automated testing frameworks.
  • Significant working knowledge of management tools such as SharePoint, Jira, Rally and Clarity PPM.
  • Experience working in DevOps model.
  • Passion for new technologies and innovation.
