About the position
The Lease Operator I is an entry-level position responsible for the safe and efficient daily operations of a natural gas system. This role involves training in troubleshooting, routine maintenance, and equipment startup, ensuring the smooth functioning of operations in the field.
Responsibilities
- Travel to each location to gather, record, and report all relevant information (i.e. gauges, fluids, pressures, production, etc., in an accurate and consistent manner).
- Inspect locations for any leaks, spills, and recognize any potential issues.
- Contact immediate supervisor with any relevant issues, or significant production loss in a timely manner.
- Once fully trained, troubleshoot, repair and correct issues as necessary.
- Record and process all paperwork, inspections, time cards, and expense reports in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Competent with Microsoft Excel and Outlook Express.
- Oilfield experience is a plus but not required.
- Must be able to perform simple daily tasks with hand tools.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- A steady work history and strong work ethic.
- Goal driven/forward thinking.
- Ability to learn and retain task knowledge.
