About the position

We are seeking Low Voltage Technicians for a project in Seattle, WA. The role involves installing, terminating, and testing low voltage cabling and systems, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and test low voltage cabling and systems, including structured cabling, security systems, access control, CCTV, audiovisual systems, and fire alarm systems.
• Pull and terminate CAT5, CAT6, Coax and/or fiber optic cable.
• Mount and install cameras.
• Work on lifts and ladders.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing low voltage or AV systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with low voltage or AV systems, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to determine installation requirements.

Requirements

• 1 year of experience in low voltage systems (preferred).
• 1 year of experience in cabling (preferred).
• Proficiency with tools and equipment used in low voltage or AV installations and maintenance.
• Understanding of low voltage, AV systems, structured cabling, security, access control, CCTV, and fire alarms.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work in various environments, including heights.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Nice-to-haves

• Certifications in low voltage systems, such as BICSI, NICET, or equivalent.
• Experience with networking and IT systems.
• Familiarity with construction techniques and industry standards.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency with relevant software.
