About the position
The LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) position is a full-time role focused on providing essential nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse. The ideal candidate will be compassionate and qualified, with experience in delivering basic care to residents in a long-term care setting.
Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed medications timely, clean and dress wounds.
- Assist with other basic medical care tasks.
- Collect samples for lab testing as assigned.
- Provide psychological and emotional support when needed.
- Communicate with patients' family to provide advice, comfort and discharge instructions.
Requirements
- 1 year of nursing experience (preferred)
- 1 year of experience with EMR systems (preferred)
- 1 year of experience in long-term care (LTC) (preferred)
- Valid LPN License
