About the position

The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for assisting in the installation, maintenance, and repair of distribution equipment, as well as general maintenance of the facility. This role requires adherence to the company's PRIDE values: Passion, Respect, Innovation, Drive, and Excellence, while ensuring the efficient and reliable maintenance of the plant to optimize production levels.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintenance of mechanical assets throughout the facility as set forth by the facility maintenance manager.
  • Perform all responsibilities of a Maintenance Technician I as needed.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all material/product handling equipment components.
  • Complete preventative maintenance routines as directed.
  • Troubleshoot basic equipment problems and understand resources needed to resolve them.
  • Ensure equipment, tools, and spare parts are accounted for and secured when not in use.
  • Perform preventative/predictive and emergency maintenance of equipment using appropriate job plans, procedures, and manuals within safe, legal, and contractually permissible limits.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot motors, photo eyes, relays, and proximity sensors.
  • Conduct basic facility maintenance including light electrical, plumbing, painting, and carpentry.
  • Assist in mentoring junior technicians by providing guidance and directions to help them develop.
  • Assist with basic electronics/Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) troubleshooting.
  • Maintain spirit of teamwork and productivity among fellow maintenance personnel.
  • Maintain qualifications to perform tasks through ongoing training programs of new and existing equipment.
  • Follow all established plant maintenance procedures.
  • Perform all functions necessary to ensure the efficient and reliable maintenance of the plant for optimized production levels.
  • Follow tool control and inventory program to support routine maintenance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous related work experience required.
  • PC knowledge, Microsoft Office OS.
  • Experience with predictive/preventative maintenance tools and procedures.
  • Repair of material handling equipment.
  • Electrical & Electronic knowledge.
  • Thorough understanding of all aspects of plant maintenance.
  • Good working knowledge of carpentry and plumbing.
