About the position
The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in supporting the Director of Facilities at Daniel Memorial Inc. This position is responsible for the maintenance and care of the agency's grounds, buildings, systems, and vehicles, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and effective communication with contractors.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Director of Facilities with the maintenance and care of facilities, grounds, and vehicles.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards of emergency and life safety systems.
- Communicate with hired contractors and report any problems to the Director of Facilities.
- Ensure that all maintenance equipment, vehicles, and housekeeping systems comply with applicable laws and guidelines.
- Assist in maintaining plumbing, electrical, and water systems to meet agency and regulatory standards.
- Track current maintenance needs with the assistance of the Director of Facilities.
- Maintain records of repair and maintenance costs, including receipts.
- Consistently uphold sanitation standards as required by the City Health Department and other regulatory agencies.
- Be on-call on a rotating schedule and work occasional overtime as needed.
- Model professional behavior and interact respectfully with clients, parents, peers, and the public.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall repairs, and painting.
- Driver license must be in good standing.
