About the position

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to perform diverse maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring facilities and systems operate at peak performance. The ideal candidate will have expertise in plumbing, irrigation, and general building trades, with the ability to work independently and communicate effectively with supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with the Maintenance Supervisor or Association Manager regarding complex electrical issues beyond routine tasks.
• Perform trench excavation, concrete mixing, pouring, and assist with finishing for repairs.
• Conduct advanced plumbing maintenance, including diagnosing leaks, installing pipes, and troubleshooting water system problems.
• Install, maintain, and repair irrigation systems, ensuring proper water distribution and system efficiency.
• Support landscaping efforts, such as adjusting irrigation systems, planting, and watering vegetation.
• Handle furniture and equipment setup for events or meetings.
• Provide assistance across trades, including carpentry, painting, electrical work, roofing, stucco, and concrete projects.
• Operate tools and equipment such as power saws and other specialized tools for building, plumbing, and maintenance tasks.
• Document work completed and materials used on maintenance work orders.
• Prioritize repair tasks based on safety, functionality, and appearance unless directed otherwise.
• Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the golf cart, removing trash daily and performing monthly battery checks.
• Keep the Maintenance building clean and organized.
• Perform additional tasks or services as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Association Manager.
• Adhere to safety protocols and use proper protective equipment.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of recent hands-on experience in plumbing, irrigation systems, general construction, or supporting building trades.
• A valid California Driver's License is required.
• Advanced knowledge of plumbing, irrigation system upkeep, and general construction techniques.
• Proficient in operating tools and equipment related to plumbing, irrigation, and general maintenance.
