About the position

The Manager of Campus and Community Engagement Projects at Stanford University is responsible for administering, supporting, and managing various programs within the Office of Community Engagement (OCE). This role focuses on enhancing collaboration between the university and the local community, ensuring meaningful engagement through events and initiatives. The position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to analyze data, and effective communication to foster connections and support community needs.

Responsibilities

  • Independently implement, administer, and evaluate day-to-day activities of the unit, function, or program.
  • Collect and analyze data, create reports, and review trends to formulate recommendations.
  • Analyze and interpret policies; develop, revise, and implement procedures for the program or function.
  • Work across Stanford systems, including GoogleDrive, Smartsheet, Oracle, Qualtrics, and Lenel.
  • Represent the program or function to external/internal stakeholders and provide information and/or training.
  • Organize and/or participate in outreach activities, including developing communications and training, planning/promoting events and/or conferences.
  • Participate in the development of budgets, monitor and approve expenditures, and provide recommendations for budget forecasting.
  • Direct and supervise student staff to perform various tasks related to student Pavilion activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and multi-task effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to take initiative and ownership of projects.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in decision-making.
  • Experience working independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant subject matter knowledge.
  • Ability to direct the work of others.
