About the position
The Mechanical Assembler position involves assembling extrusion frames and performing minimal electro-mechanical assembly. The role requires following work instructions to execute repetitive assembly operations while ensuring quality work is produced within specified time standards. The assembler will also conduct in-process checks and utilize various hand tools to complete the assembly process, collaborating with teammates to integrate large sub-assemblies.
Responsibilities
- Mechanical assembly of extrusion frames.
- Perform minimal electro-mechanical assembly using proper grounding techniques.
- Follow work instructions to perform repetitive assembly operations.
- Produce quality work to specified time standards.
- Execute in-process checks using visual inspection and checklists.
- Participate in cross-functional training as needed.
- Utilize a variety of hand tools such as screwdrivers, hex keys, drills, saws, tape measures, and fixtures.
- Coordinate with teammates to manually integrate large sub-assemblies into final assembly.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
Requirements
- High School Education or GED.
- Some manufacturing experience desired.
- Proficient in reading drawings and measuring using a tape measure.
- Ability to operate hand pallet jacks to move material within the plant.
- Able to lift, squat, bend, reach, and stand as work requires.
