• Prepares patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests, including taking accurate blood pressure, weight, and temperature.
• Works as a team player and is flexible to changes within the practice and within the role.
• Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following established standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
• Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
• Adheres to professional standards, policies and procedures, and federal, state, and local requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, regulations, and medical office procedures.
• Experience with processing referrals is a plus.
• Knowledge of MS Office, databases, and EHR systems; Cerner experience is a plus.
• Outstanding communication skills.
• Organization and multitasking skills.
• High School Diploma/GED.
• Medical Assistant Diploma/Certificate.
• Valid CPR certification.
