The Medical Front Desk Receptionist plays a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient operation at Pain Relief Solutions, an interventional pain management practice. This position involves greeting patients, scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and ensuring confidentiality of sensitive information. The receptionist is expected to optimize patient satisfaction and provider time while contributing to the overall team effort in a growing practice.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist patients and visitors in person or over the phone.
  • Schedule appointments for patients in person or by telephone.
  • Confirm patient appointments via phone calls.
  • File and retrieve patient records to ensure availability of treatment information.
  • Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
  • Collect co-pays and other patient payments.
  • Protect patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information.
  • Follow policies and procedures to maintain operations and report needed changes.
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements

  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
  • Compassionate and discrete demeanor.
  • Superb time management and record-keeping skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
