About the position

The Medical Sales Representative at Teleflex is responsible for selling a comprehensive range of vascular products within a defined territory. This role focuses on building and maintaining long-term relationships with hospital personnel and healthcare providers to drive sales growth. The representative will engage with various medical professionals, conduct educational seminars, and ensure compliance with company policies while managing territory objectives and customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and confirm on-site sales appointments to present and sell products to medical professionals.
  • Follow up on initial sales presentations to generate orders.
  • Supply hospitals and clinical staff with product information and samples.
  • Coordinate efforts with Brand Managers and Strategic Accounts Representatives for projects.
  • Manage a small to medium size territory objective.
  • Resolve customer complaints and questions by interacting with internal personnel.
  • Identify and develop new customers through sales leads.
  • Provide in-service educational seminars for hospital clinical staff.
  • Prioritize sales goals based on customer and company needs.
  • Plan and revise territory coverage based on sales potential.
  • Negotiate sales contracts and pricing with customers.
  • Account for all territory expenses and materials.
  • Review current literature for new developments in healthcare and sales.
  • Attend and exhibit at national conventions to gain new customers.
  • Assist with the coordination of national conventions and local professional meetings.
  • Train and direct new field personnel on divisional products.
  • Ensure compliance with Teleflex's Code of Conduct and company policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in hospital and/or B2B sales.
  • Ability to complete gowning procedures in hospitals.
  • Establish and maintain vendor credentials to work in medical facilities.
  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Ability to carry a detail bag weighing up to 20 lbs.
  • Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 30 lbs.
  • Ability to stand or walk for 6-10 hours per day.
