About the position

The Member Service Center Representative serves as a key point of contact for members of TruMark Financial Credit Union, providing exceptional service through inbound and outbound communications. This role involves assisting members with their inquiries, maintaining accurate records, and promoting credit union products and services to meet member needs. The representative is expected to adhere to policies and procedures while ensuring member satisfaction and compliance with security measures.

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming member inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Efficiently and accurately address member and non-member questions or issues.
  • Troubleshoot member inquiries and provide effective solutions.
  • Verify members and maintain accurate member records in the database.
  • Track and document member interactions in the database notes.
  • Provide feedback to supervisors on member service concerns or trends.
  • Refer and cross-sell products or services to meet member financial expectations.
  • Adhere to credit union policies and procedures of the Member Service Center.
  • Assist in loss prevention through compliance and security measures.
  • Monitor and maintain member satisfaction levels.
  • Maintain an acceptable level of AUX time with members and non-members.
  • Stay updated on credit union products, services, and training programs.
  • Assist in the implementation of new products or procedures.
  • Complete all other tasks or assignments as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Six months of call center or branch experience with a financial institution preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment using various systems and software.
  • Strong knowledge of banking principles, products, services, and selling practices.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to understand and apply new information effectively.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred but not explicitly required.
